Opslane helps Shopify merchants manage collaborative order operations, including assignments, comments, mentions, queues, notifications, and workflow status tracking.

This Privacy Policy explains what information Opslane collects, how we use it, and how merchants can contact us about privacy-related requests.

1. Information We Collect

When you install or use Opslane, we may collect and process the following information:

Shopify store information

  • Shop domain
  • Store name
  • Shopify shop identifier
  • App installation and authentication information
  • App billing and subscription status

Order and customer-related information

Opslane may process order-related information from Shopify so your team can manage operational workflows.

This may include:

  • Order numbers
  • Order status
  • Fulfillment and payment status
  • Customer name
  • Customer email
  • Shipping destination
  • Order totals
  • Discounts
  • Product line items
  • Tags and notes where available

Opslane workspace data

We also store information created inside Opslane, including:

  • App members
  • Roles and permissions
  • Order assignments
  • Priority and escalation status
  • Comments
  • Mentions
  • Notifications
  • Queue activity
  • Usage events such as queue opens, order opens, comments, mentions, assignments, onboarding completion, and plan upgrades

Support and feedback data

If you contact us or submit feedback, we may collect:

  • Your name
  • Email address
  • Shop information
  • Feedback type
  • Message content
  • Relevant technical details needed to investigate the request

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and operate Opslane
  • Sync and display Shopify order information
  • Enable team collaboration on orders
  • Manage assignments, comments, mentions, and queues
  • Send in-app and email notifications
  • Provide billing and subscription management
  • Improve onboarding and product usability
  • Respond to support and feedback requests
  • Maintain security, reliability, and auditability
  • Comply with legal and platform obligations

We do not sell merchant or customer data.

3. Shopify Data

Opslane only accesses Shopify data needed to provide its order operations functionality.

Shopify remains the platform where merchant store data originates. Opslane uses Shopify APIs and webhooks to keep relevant operational data available inside the app.

If you uninstall Opslane, we will stop receiving new Shopify data from your store.

4. Data Sharing

We may share data only with service providers needed to operate Opslane, such as:

  • Hosting providers
  • Database providers
  • Email delivery providers
  • Error monitoring providers
  • Shopify billing and platform services

These providers are used only to operate, secure, support, and improve Opslane.

We do not sell personal information.

5. Data Retention

We retain merchant workspace data for as long as necessary to provide Opslane, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain business records.

Usage tracking events are retained for up to 365 days unless a longer retention period is required for security, legal, or operational reasons.

If a merchant uninstalls Opslane or requests deletion, we will delete or anonymize applicable data according to Shopify requirements and applicable law, unless retention is required for legal or legitimate business reasons.

6. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information processed by Opslane.

These measures may include:

  • Access controls
  • Encrypted transport
  • Secure secrets management
  • Logging and monitoring
  • Database backups
  • Role-based permissions inside the app

No system is completely secure, but we work to protect data against unauthorized access, misuse, loss, or disclosure.

7. Merchant and Customer Requests

Merchants may contact us to request access, correction, deletion, or export of data associated with their Opslane workspace.

Customers of merchants should contact the merchant directly regarding customer data. Where required, Opslane will support merchant and Shopify privacy requests according to applicable platform requirements.

8. International Processing

Opslane may process data in countries where our hosting providers or service providers operate.

By using Opslane, you understand that data may be processed outside your country of residence, subject to appropriate safeguards where required.

9. Children's Privacy

Opslane is intended for businesses and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

When we make changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of Opslane after changes means you accept the updated policy.
